Openings hours

We have reception staff on weekdays Monday-Friday from 08:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
During the summer holidays we extend our opening hours.

Emails and telephones are answered every day from 8:00 a.m to 5:30.p.m. We reccomned that bookings are made via our booking page.

An emergency telephone number is provided on site, if you should need assistance outside of our opening hours.

Check-in outside of the service hours is possible, as we have self-check-in.

You will receive an SMS and/or email with a link to open the doors.

There is a descriptive guide on how to use the self-check-in system at the main entrance.

If you would like a key card, please contact us during our opening hours – we will arrange it.

Mandag til fredag serveres frokost hos oss – fra 08:00-10:00.

Spisesalen for frokost er i kjelleren, ved siden av peisestuen.

Lørdag og søndag serveres frokost hos Rjukan Hotell- fra 07:00-10:00.

If you come by car or motorbike, we have free parking right outside.

There is within walking distance to several electric car charging stations, and 100 meters to the bus station.

Our shared bathrooms and showers are located on the first and second floor.

There is also bathrooms in the basement.

We are an «Miljøfyrtårn» company and are constantly working to improve our environmental work.

Among other things, we have made arrangements for our guests to use waste sorting.

In the reception area there are seating areas, and in the basement you will find a shared TV room with a fireplace.

Outside there are seating areas and green areas where you can relax.

We have a drying room down in the basement – which was newly renovated in 2025/2026.

Birkelunden is centrally located in Rjukan city center.

Grocery stores are a 2-5 minute walk from the property.

Restaurants, shops and other services are nearby and easily accessible on foot.
