Gaustabanen is the «secret» track inside Gaustatoppen. In addition to transporting you to 1800 m.a.s.l. in a comfortable way, you can learn about the exciting history of the track, which was completed in 1959.©Gaustabanen

Gaustatoppen at 1883 m above sea level is perhaps Norway’s most beautiful mountain. The hiking trail from Stavsro to Gaustatoppen tourist hut is one of the most visited trails in the country and is suitable for almost everyone.

Norsk Industriarbeidermuseum på Vemork is located in respectable premises – the world’s largest power plant in 1911. Here you can see several exhibitions related to the industrial worker and not least war history.

Tungtvannskjelleren at Vemork takes you down to the exact spot where the famous sabotage operation took place during World War II.

On award-winning Hardangervidda Nasjonalparksenter
You can learn about the wild reindeer, how they live on the Hardangervidda plateau and how they are endangered. You gain knowledge through digital screens, films and VR glasses. There is also a great nature trail connected to the center.
